Behind Zam House of Talent

I’m Sylvia Zambrano, a communicator and public relations professional passionate about creating opportunities where creativity and people can thrive. My focus has always been on helping artists, communities, and organisations connect, grow, and share their work with the world.

In Australia, I worked with the Adelaide Fringe Festival—first in the marketplace team, supporting 350+ artists and industry professionals globally, and later in business development, managing partnerships and donor relations for the festival’s philanthropic arm. I’ve also been an artist minder at WOMADelaide for two years, supporting schedules and logistics for international performers.

Between 2020–2022, I founded Zambrano Agency, collaborating with artists to take their music beyond borders by opening doors to festivals and audiences in the UK, Mexico, and Colombia. I secured my artists showcases at The Great Escape (UK), Aussie BBQ (London), Marvin Festival (Mexico City), and Viva el Planeta (Colombia). I also built alliances across Europe, including with the iconic Roxy Recording Studio in Stockholm. These projects weren’t only about tours, but about creating cultural bridges and ensuring my clients had sustainable opportunities to expand their careers.

Earlier in my career, I contributed to large-scale concerts and international coordination across Latin America (Marc Anthony, Jose Feliciano, Air Supply, Vicentico) – experiences that taught me resilience, problem-solving under pressure, and above all, the importance of teamwork to bring ambitious projects to life. My background in communications and public relations allows me to combine strategy with creativity, whether it’s designing campaigns, building partnerships, or creating meaningful spaces for collaboration.

I also managed international coordination at Marmaz Corporation, an organisation recognised by the European Business Assembly and the Grammy Awards. My career began in Colombia, where I studied Communications at Javeriana University, worked in radio, and became assistant manager for Sanalejo, an iconic Colombian band signed to EMI.

Recognised at the Australian Women in Music Awards (2019) and a speaker at Australian Music Week (2017), I continue to be active in the Australian music scene, including at Big Sound.

At the heart of everything I do is the belief that creativity transforms lives. My role is to walk alongside artists, partners, and communities – listening, connecting, and creating the conditions for their work to blossom and make a difference.
